| You’re lucky, he’s lucky, I’m lucky, we’re all lucky to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show on the big screen! The quintessential cult classic is a treat regardless of whether it’s your first or hundredth viewing. Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon) are two wholesome college kids, newly engaged and on their way to visit a friend. Unfortunately, they experience a little car trouble during a stormy backroads drive, and knock on the wrong door for assistance. Invited in from the rain by an awkward handyman/hunchback named Riff Raff (Richard O’Brien), the two step inside the residence of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry). The catch: the doctor’s a “sweet transvestite” who’s just created a man called Rocky! This hilarious indie is based on O’Brien’s stage sensation and is itself a stitched together one-of-a-kind creation: part science fiction, part horror, part rock opera, but all fun.
